Effect of Logging on the Water Quality of the Crescent River, Lake Clark National Park and Preserve

Period of Project:  2003 - 2005

Chief:  Edward G. Neal

Location:  Lake Clark National Park and Preserve

Purpose:

This three-year intensive study will (1) characterize the water quality and aquatic habitat of the Crescent River watershed through use of a gradient approach and (2) will indicate effects (if any) due to logging on the water quality and aquatic habitat. Using this information will allow the National Park Service and other interested parties to insure that the water quality and aquatic habitat of the Crescent River are preserved.
